Writing My Life

Now and Then

What ABOUT me?

Gulp. Here goes – my 4th blog. Granted one passed away last November, leaving 2 sisters behind.  Two more miscarried, and now this one has arrived! (Am I crazy? Don’t I know what causes this? Is there no such thing as “blog control?” Isn’t the blog-o-sphere already overpopulated? Come to think of it, aren’t there enough wannabe novelists in the world, too?)

It appears that many experienced and beginning writers find strength and inspiration in writing about writing through a writing blog. For some, it functions as a writing warm-up; for others, it works to keep focused; and for many, it is a vessel through which aspiring authors can give and receive support from members of the writing community. I think The Write Groove will accomplish these purposes, plus more I’ve yet to discover.

I’m fully committed to this newest project, but I have flowers to plant and water, a dishwasher to unload and load, a kitchen to wipe down, and a day-job to attend to. Further “bioformation” will have to wait. (Like that portmanteau I just created? Yes, I love words – ones in the dictionary and ones just hanging around.)

Later.

  1. Yay for portmanteaux!

Congratulations on the birth of your new blog. I will be watching over her like a proud/nosey neighbor and I’ll be happy every time she grows.

I hope she knows I’m not laughing AT her — but boy am I already laughing quite a bit! You are so dang funny!!!

  3. I’d like to use your Guardian poem about the snowman in a book for teachers of languages that I’m writing but I need to know how to get your permission and that of the person who wrote it.

    • Judith, I am honored that you would like to publish my concrete poem. I wrote it and you have my permission! Let me know when this happens as I would like to see it. Thanks for asking me!!! I’m excited!
